Reconciliation
Adbri has taken an important step towards a reconciled Australia, with the release of our inaugural Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan.
Since our inception in 1882 when William Lewis, a Welsh immigrant, officially opened the Brighton Cement Works, Adelaide Brighton has invested in Australian communities; creating strong futures for our employees while helping cities and towns prosper.
Like our founder and the communities in which we operate, our employees come from many different backgrounds and cultures. This is key to our continued growth as we foster a culture where we embrace difference.
To read more about how Adbi will create opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, read our plan here.
Most recently in WA we have supported the creation of a special mural at South Coogee Primary School, created by local artist Leonard Thorne which tells the story of the Noongar Six Seasons.
