Munster Scrub Fire Under Control

Adbri Limited (ASX: ABC) (“Adbri or “the Company”) advises that a scrub fire incident occurred on the Company’s Cockburn Cement site in Munster, Western Australia on the evening of 3 February 2021.  The fire started on the Company’s buffer land that surrounds the operating plant.

The fire was brought swiftly under control by the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) with no injury to human life or damage to our facility. Emergency management plans were activated and the Company’s operations were able to continue safely without interruption.

While the cause of the fire is under investigation by DFES, there is no evidence to suggest that the fire was caused by the Company’s operations.

Adbri CEO Nick Miller praised emergency fire service workers and the operations team for their professional and prompt actions which ensured the fire was brought under control quickly.

“We extend our appreciation and gratitude to the emergency services teams, whom we cooperated with closely to assist in protecting our employees and the local community and to bring the fire under control.”
